Samsung Electronics significantly reduces EUV lithography equipment procurement plans with ASML

Samsung Electronics recently announced that it will significantly reduce its EUV lithography equipment procurement plan with the Dutch company ASML. The number of next-generation EUV lithography equipment originally planned to be introduced will be reduced from 4 to 2, with a scale of about 1 trillion won. The original plan was to invest 700 million euros (about 1 trillion won) to establish a research and development center in the metropolitan area and promote the development of next-generation lithography equipment, but this plan has now been suspended.
