CATL Signs Important Cooperation Agreement with Guangdong Province

On February 2, CATL reached a strategic cooperation with the Guangdong Provincial Government and built a lithium battery production base in Zhaoqing. The first phase planned production capacity is 25GWh, with an investment of 12 billion yuan, involving multiple new energy fields. It is expected to establish 150GWh of lithium battery production capacity and related supporting industries in Guangdong by 2030, promoting the formation of a trillion-level industrial cluster. This move will help CATL build a closed loop of the entire industrial chain, enhance global competitiveness, and help Guangdong become a global leading comprehensive base for the new energy industry.
