Hyundai Group takes over Motional and increases investment in autonomous driving technology

Aptiv, the largest shareholder of autonomous driving company Motional, has confirmed the sale of its 11% stake, which will be entirely taken over by Hyundai Group. The transaction brings Hyundai Group's total investment to more than $923 million. After the transaction is completed, Aptiv's shareholding in Motional will drop to 15%. Hyundai Group said that through this investment, it will strengthen Motional's technological competitiveness and lay the foundation for the company's development in the field of autonomous driving.
