Sales of India's four major automakers decline

India's four largest automakers saw their domestic sales fall 8.7% in August, marking the fourth consecutive month of decline due to weak demand. Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra & Mahindra, Hyundai Motor India, and Tata Motors account for 80% of the Indian auto market. Their combined sales in India fell 8.7% year-on-year in August.
