Subaru's sales surged in Q2 2025, but profits fell sharply

Subaru's global sales reached 244,000 vehicles in the second quarter of 2025 (the first quarter of fiscal year 2026), a year-on-year increase of 15.1%. However, the impact of additional tariffs in the US market, coupled with the appreciation of the yen and pressure from raw material costs, led to a year-on-year decline in operating profit of 16.2% to 76.4 billion yen.
