He criticized some automakers for ignoring user experience in pursuit of so-called "minimalism"; some automakers use low prices to attract consumers and then increase revenue through high-priced options; some automakers turn functions that should have been standard into high-priced options; and some automakers only emphasize the advantages of their products in their publicity while ignoring their disadvantages.
