Sony announces new lidar breakthrough at VLSI Conference

Sony unveiled two LiDAR technologies at the VLSI Conference. One improves PDE to 42.5%, significantly enhancing the signal-to-noise ratio, while the other boosts the sampling rate to 25 million points per second, more than double the speed of mainstream ADAS 512-line LiDAR flagship products. These two technological breakthroughs will bring more precise environmental perception capabilities to autonomous driving and intelligent cockpits.
