Analysis of French new car market sales in July 2025

In July 2025, new car registrations in France reached 116,400 units, a year-on-year decrease of 7.7%. While fuel-powered vehicles saw a decline in sales, hybrid and pure electric vehicles bucked the trend and saw growth. Hybrid sales increased by 9.8% year-on-year to 53,200 units, accounting for 45.7% of the market. Pure electric vehicle registrations reached 19,600 units, a year-on-year increase of 14.9%, increasing their market share to 16.8%.
