Lotus denies plans to close Hethel factory

In negotiations with the new British ruling party, Lotus Sportscars offered to retain its R&D center in exchange for tacit approval of production relocation. The Hethel plant could close as early as 2026. In response to reports of a halt to production at the Hethel plant, Lotus Sportscars stated that operations are continuing as normal and that there are no plans to close any plants.
