Chinese car companies invest in building factories in Pakistan

Chinese automakers such as BYD and Chery have reportedly invested in building electric vehicle assembly plants in Pakistan and expanding related infrastructure, aiming to transform the country into a regional electric vehicle production hub. Pakistani officials say this will help reduce Pakistan's dependence on fossil fuels and welcome Chinese companies' investment in local electric vehicle production.
