Rivian posts $1.1 billion net loss in second quarter

US electric vehicle maker Rivian reported a net loss of $1.1 billion in the second quarter, an improvement from $1.5 billion in the same period last year. The company maintained its 2025 delivery forecast of 40,000 to 46,000 vehicles, but needed a strong performance in the second half of the year to hit the target.
