CATL joins hands with CAR Inc. and others to build a battery swap ecosystem

Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd. (CATL), Times Electric Services, CAR Inc., and CMB Financial Leasing signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Ningde City to introduce the battery swap model to the car rental industry. CAR Inc. will introduce CATL's Chocolate battery swap model and plans to operate over 100,000 battery swap vehicles this year. These models will be equipped with CATL's standardized battery swap modules, offering a range of 400-600 kilometers. The four parties will also collaborate to optimize costs in vehicle procurement, financing, and insurance, enhancing product competitiveness.
