Shanghai accelerates expansion of autonomous driving test areas

Shanghai plans to expand its autonomous driving testing area this year. Pudong New Area will fully open the area, excluding busy areas like Lujiazui. Minhang District will open key areas like the Hongqiao hub, while Fengxian District will not fully open the area due to insufficient application. The city's goal is to open 2,000 square kilometers and 5,000 kilometers of roads by 2027.
