Indonesian new car market brand performance analysis report in March 2025

In March 2025, in terms of brand performance in Indonesia's new car market, Toyota topped the wholesale list with 22,476 units (31.7% market share), a year-on-year increase of 6.3%. Chinese brands became a bright spot in the market, and BYD jumped to sixth with 3,205 units (4.5% share), a record high. Traditional fuel vehicles still dominate, accounting for about 85% of wholesale sales, but down about 10% year-on-year. The sales share of hybrid and pure electric vehicles (new energy) rose to about 12%, an increase of about 30% year-on-year.
