Honda considers producing large-displacement motorcycles in China

Atsushi Ogata, executive vice president of Honda Motor (China) Investment Co., Ltd., said that Honda's current large-displacement motorcycle production bases are mainly concentrated in Japan, Thailand and other places. As China is an important base for leading the trend of recreational motorcycles in the future, Honda is also actively considering production in China. Atsushi Ogata emphasized that the larger the displacement of the model, the stricter the production standards and the higher the requirements. Therefore, it is necessary to use "Chinese speed" and "Chinese quality" to cooperate with domestic supply chain manufacturers to increase the proportion of locally purchased parts.
