Founded by Xiao Jianxiong in September 2016, AutoX obtained the world's second and China's first California fully unmanned RoboTaxi license in Silicon Valley in 2020, becoming the world's first company to conduct fully unmanned driving in both China and the United States. In April 2020, AutoX completed its first unmanned driving of a whole vehicle. In 2020, AutoX obtained the first batch of external operating licenses under Shanghai's new regulations 2.0, and launched the third-generation Gen3 RoboTaxi public manned demonstration application in Shanghai, marking the first batch of Shanghai's autonomous driving travel fully open to the public. In January 2021, AutoX's "fully unmanned" (no one in the front and back seats) RoboTaxi officially started operation, becoming the only company in China and the second in the world to operate a truly fully unmanned RoboTaxi. So far, AutoX's fully unmanned RoboTaxi operation has entered its third year, and with its strong technical strength, it has maintained a perfect zero-accident record. In November 2021, AutoX achieved the world's largest fully unmanned driving area in Shenzhen, reaching 168 square kilometers. In February 2022, AutoX assembled more than 1,000 fully unmanned RoboTaxis, setting a new global record for unmanned driving. In May 2022, AutoX built a network of 10 large RoboTaxi operation centers around the world to support the high-density, high-efficiency, and high-intensity operation of more than 1,000 unmanned vehicles in a large area of more than 1,000 square kilometers. In March 2023, AutoX became one of the first companies to conduct unmanned testing in Shanghai, winning the first unmanned RoboTaxi in the core urban area of China's first super first-tier city. In April 2023, AutoX obtained the first batch of L4 autonomous driving RoboTaxi charging demonstration application licenses in Shanghai, and AutoX RoboTaxi has launched RoboTaxi charging services to the public through the Xiangdao Travel App. In May 2023, AutoX obtained the first batch of fully unmanned commercial pilot licenses for intelligent connected vehicles in Shenzhen, and carried out commercial charging operations of fully unmanned RoboTaxi vehicles in Pingshan District. The fully unmanned driving area reached 168 square kilometers, which is China's largest single connected fully unmanned ODD. In July 2023, AutoX obtained the Beijing unmanned RoboTaxi license and was allowed to orderly promote unmanned road testing on the open roads in the core area of 225 square kilometers of the demonstration zone. In September 2023, AutoX became the first company in the country to land the intelligent networked car RoboTaxi in Hangzhou, and obtained 100 RoboTaxi testing and manned demonstration application licenses, and has been operating normally in Hangzhou. In January 2024, AutoX was approved to carry out remote testing of intelligent networked cars with no one in the main driving seat in Guangzhou, and the unmanned city was expanded to the fifth city. In January 2024, AutoX obtained the first batch of intelligent networked car unmanned commercial pilot qualifications in Bao'an, Shenzhen, and allowed AutoX to carry out unmanned RoboTaxi charging operations in the central urban area of Bao'an, becoming the only company to obtain unmanned RoboTaxi licenses in the three districts of Shenzhen. In February 2024, AutoX obtained the first batch of Beijing high-speed demonstration application qualifications, and AutoX RoboTaxi started the autonomous driving shuttle activity from Beijing Daxing Airport to Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone. In May 2024, AutoX obtained the first RoboTaxi full-area innovative application qualification in Hangzhou, and started to cover the entire area of Hangzhou with shuttle service covering up to 3,474 square kilometers, including core urban areas such as Shangcheng, Gongshu, West Lake, Binjiang, Xiaoshan, Yuhang, Linping, Qiantang, and Tonglu, serving a population of over 10 million. In May 2024, AutoX RoboTaxi was first approved to enter the main urban area of Beijing's Third Ring Road, and the autonomous driving range covers the Beijing South Railway Station and surrounding areas. In June 2024, AutoX Antu obtained the first RoboTaxi full unmanned driving qualification in Hangzhou, and started to cover the unmanned RoboTaxi operation in six super cities.
