Samsung Electronics, the world's largest smartphone, TV and memory chip maker, plans to cut up to 30% of its overseas employees in some departments, according to three people familiar with the matter. It is reported that South Korea's Samsung has instructed its global subsidiaries to reduce sales and marketing staff by about 15% and administrative staff by up to 30%. The plan will be implemented by the end of this year and will affect jobs in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa.
