Automaker Stellantis recently announced that it has decided to recall nearly 1.5 million RAM pickup trucks due to software problems that may cause the electronic stability control system to fail. According to US safety standards, the electronic stability control system should work in all stages of vehicle driving. However, the anti-lock braking software installed in this batch of recalled pickup trucks may cause the stability control system to shut down. Stellantis said dealers will provide customers with free software updates. This global recall is mainly for the North American market and involves models produced in 2019 and 2021 to 2024.
