China FAW and Hubei Xingji Meizu Group cooperate to develop Hongqi mobile phone

FAW's official bidding and procurement platform recently added a new project on "Public Announcement of Direct Procurement Candidates for Hongqi Mobile Phone Development Technology Procurement", in which the supplier is Hubei Xingji Meizu Group Co., Ltd. In April this year, FAW signed a strategic cooperation agreement on smart cockpits with Ecarx Technology, and the two parties plan to jointly develop high-end mobile phones under the Hongqi brand. Ecarx and Xingji Meizu are both subsidiaries of Geely. According to the procurement information this time, Xingji Meizu may be responsible for the design and development of Hongqi's first mobile phone.
