Tesla responds to suspension failure issue, promises recall

Tesla has responded to the suspension failure issue on its Model S and Model X vehicles. They have acknowledged the issue and promised a recall. The issue is called "Slamming Wheels" and involves front suspension failures on hundreds of vehicles. Although Tesla has previously issued a recall, NHTSA believes that this does not cover all vehicles with the problem. Therefore, they recommend that Tesla expand the scope of the service bulletin to include all cars equipped with the two problematic front tie rod part numbers.
