Apple announces third quarter financial report for fiscal year 2024, with both revenue and net profit exceeding expectations

Apple released its financial report for the third quarter of fiscal year 2024 (the second quarter of the natural year 2024) on August 2, showing that total revenue reached US$85.78 billion, exceeding analysts' expectations of US$84.46 billion, a year-on-year increase of 5%. Net profit was US$21.448 billion, an increase of 7.9% from US$19.881 billion in the same period last year. Diluted earnings per share were US$1.40, higher than analysts' expectations of US$1.35, an increase of 11% year-on-year.
