Uber partners with BYD to add 100,000 electric vehicles

BYD and Uber have signed a multi-year strategic cooperation agreement, planning to launch 100,000 BYD electric vehicles in major markets around the world and expand the electric vehicle lineup on the Uber platform. The cooperation will start in Europe and Latin America and gradually expand to the Middle East, Australia and New Zealand to promote the popularity of electric vehicles. The two parties are also considering providing incentives such as charging discounts, vehicle maintenance or insurance discounts to car owners.
