Less than half of Chinese companies investing in Thailand actually put into production

Although more than 100 Chinese listed companies have announced investment plans in Thailand, less than 40 companies have actually started production. This is mainly because it takes at least a year to go through a series of processes, including approval from the competent authorities, registration of local Thai companies, site selection and land purchase, and factory construction and equipment purchase. Therefore, 2025 is expected to be the peak period for Chinese companies to invest in Thailand.
