Volkswagen Group’s global deliveries fell by 2.3%, with significant impact on the Chinese market

Volkswagen Group's global new car deliveries in 2024 will be 9.027 million, down 2.3% year-on-year. Among them, 2.928 million vehicles were delivered in the Chinese market, down 9.5%, with more than 200,000 new energy vehicles. Although Volkswagen Group emphasizes that market share is not the only evaluation criterion, it has proposed a number of response strategies, including launching a number of new models in 2025, accelerating the brand's intelligent process, and preparing to launch a new extended-range vehicle in 2026.
