Honda, Nissan and Mitsubishi to merge in big deal

Honda has announced a merger agreement with Nissan, with an estimated transaction value of $54 billion. Mitsubishi will decide whether to join the cooperation project by January 31, 2025. If Mitsubishi also joins the merger, the total value of the merger may increase to $58 billion. If all parties agree to the merger, the merged entity will become the world's third largest automaker in terms of sales, second only to Toyota and Volkswagen Group.
