India's Tata Group expands influence in electronics manufacturing

Tata Group plans to acquire a majority stake in vivo's Indian subsidiary to expand its influence in the electronics manufacturing industry. Previously, Tata Group has acquired Wistron's Indian subsidiary, which manufactures iPhones for Apple, and is negotiating with Pegatron to acquire a majority stake in its iPhone foundry near Chennai.
