BYD becomes one of the largest private manufacturing companies in terms of employment

In just a few years, BYD has become one of the largest private manufacturing companies in China in terms of employment. In 2021, BYD added more than 60,000 employees, bringing the total to more than 280,000. In 2022, the number of employees doubled to about 570,000. In 2024, BYD's number of employees will be close to one million.
