The Electric Power Steering (EPS) system is a common steering system in modern cars. It uses an electric motor to provide assistance to improve steering efficiency and comfort. There are four main types of EPS systems: C-EPS (Column-EPS) that assists the torque of the steering column, P-EPS (Pinion-EPS) that assists the gear in the rack and pinion mechanism at the bottom of the steering column, R-EPS (Rack-EPS) that assists the linear motion of the rack on the steering gear, and R-EPS, DP-EPS (Dual Pinion EPS) and BD-EPS (Belt Drive EPS) according to different transmission methods.
