The solid-state battery jointly developed by SAIC Motor and Qingtao Energy will be put into mass production in October this year. This solid-state battery uses an inorganic oxide solid electrolyte, is non-flammable at high temperatures, and exhibits ultra-fast charging performance under a 900-volt high-voltage architecture. Its peak charging power can reach 400 kilowatts, and it only takes 12 minutes to increase the vehicle's range by 400 kilometers. At present, this solid-state battery belongs to the category of semi-solid batteries, but Zhiji Auto has formulated a clear technical roadmap to gradually transition to all-solid-state batteries. It is expected that by 2025, the liquid content of Zhiji Auto's mass-produced products will be reduced to 5%, which is closer to the all-solid level.
