Toyota Motor receives $322 million syndicated loan for U.S. battery plant

On May 28, Toyota Motor received a syndicated loan of US$322 million to build a battery plant in North Carolina, USA. It is reported that the new plant will focus on the production of battery packs for hybrid/plug-in hybrid vehicles. The battery plant is planned to have 4 production lines in 2025, and is expected to expand to at least 6 production lines in the future, with a total annual battery production of at least 1.2 million vehicles.
