Apparent consumption of lithium carbonate in China will increase in April 2024

According to statistics, in April 2024, China's lithium carbonate production was about 53,000 tons, plus the net import volume of 20,859 tons, the apparent consumption of lithium carbonate in that month exceeded 70,000 tons, an increase of about 20% month-on-month. This growth was mainly driven by the output of positive electrode materials, especially the growth of lithium iron phosphate, lithium manganese oxide and lithium cobalt oxide.
