CATL and Stellantis jointly build a factory in Spain to deepen their presence in the European market

Chinese battery manufacturer CATL and global automaker Stellantis announced that the two parties will establish a joint venture battery factory in Zaragoza, Aragon, Spain, with a total investment of 4.038 billion euros. The factory plans to produce 50GWh of power batteries annually, mainly serving Stellantis. This cooperation will further promote the global electrification and clean energy transformation. This is CATL's third factory in Europe and its Nth factory worldwide. The factory is expected to start production at the end of 2026. CATL's two new factories in Germany and Hungary are already in operation.
