LG Chem plans to build battery factory in the U.S.

LG Chem announced that it will build a battery factory in Tennessee, USA, and is expected to start mass production in 2026. The factory will mainly produce NCMA cathode materials for electric vehicles, which will be mainly supplied to Ultium Cells, a joint venture between LG Energy Solution and General Motors. This move will further promote the development of the electric vehicle industry.
