CATL's German factory successfully obtained battery cell production license

On April 4, CATL obtained a cell production license for its first overseas factory in Thuringia, Germany, an important step in the company's international layout. The factory is Germany's first battery factory and is currently in the equipment installation stage. It is expected to start production before the end of 2022. The factory will provide about 1,500 jobs for the local area and plans a total investment of 1.8 billion euros.
