BYD plans to invest $1 billion to build factory in Türkiye

In July this year, the Turkish government officially announced the signing of an investment agreement with Chinese new energy vehicle manufacturer BYD in Istanbul. BYD plans to invest $1 billion to build a car production plant with an annual production capacity of 150,000 vehicles in Turkey. The plant, located in the western Manisa province, is expected to start operations by the end of 2026 and is expected to directly employ up to 5,000 employees.
