Hyundai Motor plans to mass-produce autonomous driving chips by 2029

One of the main initiatives of Hyundai Semiconductor Strategic Group is to achieve mass production of autonomous driving chips by 2029. Hyundai Motor has reportedly selected a foundry partner in 2024, with Samsung's 5nm process initially in the lead, but reports indicate that the company is currently re-evaluating its plans and weighing the final decision between TSMC and Samsung.
