China's total lithium-ion battery output to exceed 940GWh in 2023

According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's Electronic Information Department, China's total lithium-ion battery industry output will reach 940GWh in 2023, a year-on-year increase of 25%. Among them, the output of consumer, power, and energy storage lithium batteries is 80GWh, 675GWh, and 185GWh respectively. The installed capacity of lithium batteries (including new energy vehicles and new energy storage) exceeds 435GWh. From January to December, the prices of battery cells and battery-grade lithium salts fell by more than 50% and 70% respectively.
