In July 2021, BYD and FAW Group announced the planning of a joint venture project. The two parties will jointly build a strategic base for new energy vehicle power batteries in Northeast China. The base has a total investment of 13.5 billion yuan and is expected to achieve an annual power battery production capacity of 45GWh.
