The joint venture between Geely and CATL Yibin expansion project has been approved, adding 10GWh of power battery production capacity

On January 29, the official website of Sichuan Economic and Information Commission showed that the energy-saving review report of the first phase (expansion) of the Yibin project of Times Geely Power Battery Production Base has been passed. The total investment of the project is 870 million yuan. It plans to purchase advanced equipment and upgrade the technology of the existing production line to add 10GWh/year of lithium-ion power battery production capacity. The entire plant will reach an annual production capacity of 25GWh of lithium-ion power batteries.
