Guangdong accelerates energy-saving and carbon-reduction transformation in nonferrous metals industry

The People's Government of Guangdong Province issued a notice on the "Guangdong Province 2024-2025 Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction Action Plan", proposing to promote energy conservation and carbon reduction transformation in the non-ferrous metal industry and promote integrated die-casting technology for processing aluminum alloy parts for new energy vehicles. The goal is to achieve 50% of copper, lead and zinc smelting capacity above the benchmark level by the end of 2025, increase the proportion of renewable energy use, and increase the energy efficiency level of aluminum products and lead profiles by 5%.
