Effect of Extrusion Pressure on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Al-Cu Alloy

The study found that after applying 75 MPa extrusion pressure, the iron-rich phase in the Al-Cu alloy with the same Mn/Fe ratio is finer and more dispersed, and the roundness of the iron-rich phase is improved, which can reduce the damage to the alloy to a certain extent. At the same Mn/Fe ratio, with the increase of extrusion pressure, the strength and plasticity of the Al-Cu alloy are significantly improved.
