Shanxi Province strives to create silicon carbide flagship products

In the 14th Five-Year Plan, Shanxi Province has identified silicon carbide as a key product for development. The provincial government has reached a strategic cooperation with China Electronics Technology Group Corporation to jointly promote the development of the silicon carbide industry. Shanxi Province plans to promote the large-scale industrialization of second/third generation semiconductor materials and sapphire materials such as gallium arsenide and silicon carbide of 6 inches and above, and carry out basic research on new materials such as carbon-based semiconductors.
