China's product recall system celebrates its 20th anniversary, with 3,023 vehicle recalls

Since the formal implementation of the "Regulations on the Management of Recall of Defective Automobile Products" on October 1, 2004, China's product recall system has gone through 20 years. During this period, my country has issued more than 20 relevant laws and regulations, covering multiple fields including automobiles, children's toys, consumer goods, unsafe food, special equipment, etc. As of September 30, 2024, my country has carried out a total of 3,023 automobile recalls, involving 112 million vehicles, of which 596 were affected by the investigation of the State Administration for Market Regulation, totaling 56.951 million vehicles.
