KIST develops new SPAD lidar sensor

The Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) has successfully developed a new single-photon avalanche diode (SPAD) lidar sensor based on SK Hynix's 40nm back-illuminated CMOS image sensor technology. This breakthrough technology will provide key support for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), autonomous driving, and augmented reality/virtual reality (AR/VR).
