ON Semiconductor and Entegris reach long-term supply agreement to promote SiC technology application

ON Semiconductor and material processor Entegris reached a long-term supply agreement on August 7. According to the agreement, Entegris will provide ON Semiconductor with a series of synchronous optimized CMP solutions for silicon carbide (SiC) applications. SiC is a high-hardness, high-density and chemically inert material, and its wafer surface processing is difficult. Dann Woodland, president of Entegris' material solutions, said that SiC technology has broad application prospects in many industries such as electric vehicles, power equipment, renewable energy, wireless communications and cloud computing.
