ION Storage Systems plans to build large solid-state battery factory in the U.S.

ION Storage Systems, a US solid-state battery manufacturer, announced that it will build the largest solid-state battery factory in the United States near its headquarters in Beltsville, Maryland. The factory is expected to start operation this year with an initial production capacity of 1 megawatt-hour (MWh), which is expected to increase to 10 MWh by early 2025, with the ultimate goal of reaching a production capacity of 500 MWh in 2028.
