Chinese auto brands demand 20% price cut on parts

At the beginning of 2024, several Chinese auto brands proposed a 20% reduction in parts procurement prices at a supplier conference. Usually, after reaching a certain production scale, suppliers can reduce costs for automakers by 3%-5% each year. However, last year, automakers launched a price war, and Bosch received an average price reduction request of up to 15%.
