BYD identified solid-state batteries as its future development direction in 2016. CATL has been making arrangements in the field of solid-state batteries for many years. Honeycomb Energy has developed the first batch of 20Ah sulfur-based all-solid-state prototype batteries in China. In addition, Maxell, Enli Power, Power Co, Samsung SDI, Toyota Motor, Solid Power and other companies have also achieved remarkable results in the field of solid-state batteries. However, Toyota Motor has postponed the time node for mass production of all-solid-state batteries to after 2030, adding uncertainty to the mass production of solid-state batteries.
